My current animation demo reel!

If you'd like to see more of my work, I have some additional animations and process work down below.

Pookems IV - Emote Test

Programs used: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Substance Painter, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Nuke, Procreate

Additional work done by Gabrielle Ann Thomas

This is a short animation test we did while we worked on the layout for our Pookems IV short film. We wanted to understand how the characters would look and feel in final render before we got too deep into animation. At the same time, we got the chance to explore their dynamic and acting early on which helped inform our acting and movement choices for the rest of the production.

Cheerie and Dearie - Process Breakdown

Programs used: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Substance Painter, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Nuke, Procreate

Here are some progress breakdowns for the rigging and animation process for one of my short animations! It was a great challenge to manage the two characters, complex lighting set up, and several additional rigs for this project.

Lady Girl and Minky - Process Breakdown

Programs used: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Substance Painter, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Nuke, Procreate

For this project, Minky was probably the most exciting aspect. Between the fur groom and getting to both build and animate such a different rig from a normal human, she was a really great challenge! Since Minky doesn't have any sort of shoulders, hands, or even pupils in her eyes, I had to rely a lot on broader head and arm movement to convey her emotions.

Fisherson - Process Breakdown

Programs used: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Substance Painter, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Nuke, Procreate

Working on this animation was fun for a lot of reasons, including the physicality of animating Fisherson. Despite his slim body I was able to focus on weight and force driving his movements while he interacted with the environment around him. I also got to spend a bit of time animating the seaweed and bubbles to the fish tank, which was a great way to give even the background  a sense of life.
